My club soccer experience started and ended with Walid as my coach. He took my team from an AYSO Plus level to one of the best teams in the United States. Aside from teaching me what it takes to win championships on the field, Walid taught me what it takes to perform my best off the field as well. The reason why I was accepted to play soccer at the University of California, Berkeley was because of Walid. He guided me through the process leading up to my college decision, and he also did everything he could to get me seen by college coaches. I felt very prepared going into a Division I collegiate sport because I was taught how to fight hard and play with heart. Not many coaches can teach that, but Walid's passion and desire for the game rubs off on to his players and teaches them the value of "leaving it all on the field." From the moment I left for college, Walid stood by me and guided me through my ups and downs during the past four years. Playing for Slammers was the best experience I have ever had, and I could not imagine my soccer career any other way. I consider Walid family, and I know that will never change. He has changed my life, and I cannot put into words what he has done for me, the girls from my team, and all the younger girls and boys in the Slammers Club. He is truly one of a kind. I am forever proud to be a Slammer because of him.

"I joined the club that Scott founded when I was 11 years old. I spent my entire youth and club career in his club, learning from and being coached by Scott. As a young player, Scott advised me to pursue goalkeeping; a move that would inevitably get me on multiple youth national teams, a college scholarship, and the potential opportunity to play professional soccer. Scott's advice changed the course of my athletic career as well as the course of my life. Although, he was not my primary coach during my youth career, he had a significant hand in my development through hiring highly qualified coaches and administrators that worked directly with me. Scott's support of my soccer career began when I was very young and has extended until the present. He consistently pushed me to become a better player by instilling positive work habits in me as well as by giving me technical and tactical insights into the game."

Walid has taught me a lot in my life, and not just about soccer. I played for Walid and the Slammers club for a few short years when I was younger, but he has been a great guide in my life ever since. It's no wonder how successful Walid is because he has always done things professionally and the right way. Walid is a true friend and somebody who I trust for advice at all points in my career.

"Having played under Scott for years, I experienced firsthand the constant evolution of his club. Scott's commitment to his players' development is evidenced not only by his passion as a coach, but also by his continual dedication to improve the resources and infrastructure of the club. As a coach, Scott's knowledge and vision of the game are unmatched. As a club administrator, he has worked tirelessly not simply to maintain competitiveness on a national level, but to consistently set the standard of excellence in club soccer. The success of his teams, the talent he attracts among both players and coaches, and the continued success of his players at the collegiate and professional levels speak for themselves."

It has been a pleasure to be apart of a great club like the Slammers. I have had the pleasure to work with Walid in so many different occasions. He was always there for me. He helped guide me in the right direction with college and life in general. He taught me how to be a champion in every way of life. He always told me that nothing came easy but I had to work for what I wanted. No one was going to give me anything. Through all of my years with the Slammers I have learned to be a better person in all aspects of life. Walid has been a great role model to me and the other girls throughout the club. Even though he was not my actual coach, which was his brother Ziad but he was there to make a difference in my life. It was a joy to be apart of the Slammers because I was dealing with coaches such as Walid who has so much love for his players and the game. With being apart of this club I received the best opportunities to succeed at the highest level. When I was deciding what college that I wanted to attend I was able to go to Walid and get the best advice possible. I knew that once I made my decision to attend UCLA that I was going to be well prepared for my future. Walid was always there to push me to a level that I didn't know I could reach, but he believed in me. I knew that he would always hold a spot in my heart and that I would always be apart of his life. I knew that I was going to see him at as many games that he could come to because it showed you how much he cared for his players. Walid was like family to me and I know that when I ever need anything that he will be there for me and that I will do my best to give back to the club as well. I would do anything in my power to see such a great man succeed any way possible

I began to play for Walid when I was a freshman in High School. I was drawn to his club by his aggressive and passionate coaching style. Walid was able to transform my game to a new level and I was able to further develop as a player. On the field he was one of the most motivational coaches I have ever encountered. I learned so much while playing with the Slammers and am very fortunate for the time I had there. Off the field Walid is family to me. He encourages and promotes his players to develop values that are critical to surviving in the real world. He truly cares for his players and I feel blessed to have played for him. He helped me in many ways and I will forever be indebted. When I was being recruited by the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) I was very overwhelmed, but Walid helped me every step of the way. He flew back with me on my unofficial visit and convinced me that North Carolina was the place for me. He was right. I feel like he never steered me wrong and always looked out for my best interests. I will never be able to repay him for the things that he has done for me and I am very grateful. I still talk to him on a regular basis and am able approach him with any concerns, not only in soccer, but life as well. Walid is a phenomenal person who has had a major impact on my life and I love him for that.
